How to Get There
Arbroath Infirmary is sited at the south end of the town of Arbroath just off the main Dundee to Arbroath Road.
Arbroath Infirmary can be accessed from both Rosemount Road and Roseberry Place, although the main entrance and car park are at the Rosemount Road end. The main building is open 24 hours a day.
Arbroath is accessible by train or bus from Dundee to the South or Montrose to the North. There are also regular bus services from all of the major Angus towns. There is also a local bus service from the Arbroath bus station to the Infirmary, although we are within easy walking distance from both the train and bus stations.
For patients and visitors who travel by car, the hospital lies approximately 15 miles north of Dundee.
You can find a map with directions at the bottom of this page.
There are two free car parks for visitors use, one on site and another on Rosemount Road. Disabled bays are available in both. Your co-operation is requested to ensure that the entrances to departments are kept clear for the movement of hospital vehicles, ambulances and fire appliances.
Family and friends are encouraged to visit. Ward activities and the clinical conditions of patients may sometimes restrict visiting, therefore please check visiting arrangements with the nurse in charge of the ward. Please advise anyone wishing to visit, not to do so if they have an infectious condition such as a cough or cold.
It is appreciated that relatives will be anxious to learn of a patient’s progress, but it would be helpful if telephone enquiries were limited to immediate members of the family. Where possible one person should call on behalf of the family.
There are public telephones available on site as well as a free taxi telephone within out patient department.
Please note mobile telephones cannot be used in some areas - please check with staff in the ward/clinic you are attending.
Arbroath Infirmary has a shop/dining room within the main building that can provide meals, sandwiches, beverages etc between 8.30am and 3pm. There are also vending facilities available for snacks and drinks outwith these hours.
