How to Get There
Arbroath Infirmary is sited at the south end of the town of Arbroath just off the main Dundee to Arbroath Road.
Arbroath Infirmary can be accessed from both Rosemount Road and Roseberry Place, although the main entrance and car park are at the Rosemount Road end.
Arbroath is accessible by train or bus from Dundee to the South or Montrose to the North. There are also regular bus services from all of the major Angus towns. There is also a local bus service from the Arbroath bus station to the Infirmary, although we are within easy walking distance from both the train and bus stations.
For patients and visitors who travel by car, the hospital lies approximately 15 miles north of Dundee.

Scottish Blue
Scottish Blue provide patient transfer services to Stracathro Hospital, Whitehills Health, Arbroath Infirmary from Dundee.
Anyone can use this service and it’s available from 6am to 6pm, Monday to Friday, excluding bank holidays.
Passengers will be collected from their home and drivers are on hand to provide any extra support where required. All vehicles are wheelchair accessible with low floors and grab handles for easy access.
This service can be booked by calling Scottish Blue on 01382 339 633 or by
booking online. It’s advised to book your seat or wheelchair space as early as possible.
Parking
There are two free car parks for visitors use, one on site and another on Rosemount Road. Disabled bays are available in both. Your co-operation is requested to ensure that the entrances to departments are kept clear for the movement of hospital vehicles, ambulances and fire appliances.
Visiting
Family and friends are encouraged to visit. Ward activities and the clinical conditions of patients may sometimes restrict visiting, therefore please check visiting arrangements with the nurse in charge of the ward. Please advise anyone wishing to visit, not to do so if they have an infectious condition such as a cough or cold.
Relative Enquiries
It is appreciated that relatives will be anxious to learn of a patient’s progress, but it would be helpful if telephone enquiries were limited to immediate members of the family. Where possible one person should call on behalf of the family.
Telephones
There are public telephones available on site as well as a free taxi telephone within out patient department.
Please note mobile telephones cannot be used in some areas - please check with staff in the ward/clinic you are attending.
Cafe/Snack Facilities
Arbroath Infirmary has a shop/dining room within the main building that can provide meals, sandwiches, beverages etc between 8.30am and 3pm. There are also vending facilities available for snacks and drinks outwith these hours.
