Dundee Out-of-Hours GP Service moves to Kings Cross

The Dundee Out-of-Hours GP Service is moving from Wallacetown Health Centre to Kings Cross Health & Community Care Centre from Tuesday, 25 November.

The move, which was agreed in consultation with patients and public partners, will see users benefit from improved facilities.

The Dundee Out-of-Hours GP Service is open from 6pm until 8am each weekday and 24 hours at weekends and public holidays. This service is for patients who become ill during the out-of-hours period and who cannot wait until their GP surgery opens. The service is by appointment only and can be accessed by calling NHS 24 on 111.

Dr Joyce Meikle, Lead Clinician for the Tayside Out-of-Hours Service, said, “We have been planning this move to the Kings Cross Health & Community Care Centre for a long time and we have worked very closely with our partners, patients and the public to ensure it is a move which will benefit our patients and be as smooth as possible.

“The Kings Cross site is only one mile from Wallacetown and offers plenty of free parking and improved waiting and treatment areas.”

All other services which are provided at Wallacetown will be unaffected by the Out-of-Hours Service move.
