Donation to wards 2 and 10 at Ninewells

A Montrose family has donated £350 each to ward 2 and ward 10 at Ninewells Hospital in Dundee.

The Anderson sisters decided to raise money for wards 2 and 10 after their sister Colleen received treatment there.

Susan said, “Colleen received excellent care during her time in Ninewells and we wanted to say thank you and show our appreciation for everything the staff have done for her.

“The funds were raised through a jewellery party and we would like to thank everyone who attended and supported this event. We are also very thankful of the support shown by local businesses, including Tesco in Montrose who kindly donated £200 of raffle prizes.” 

Accepting the cheque, senior charge nurse Gillian Nicholson said, “We're delighted that Colleen’s family and friends have taken the time to think of us and raise funds for wards 2 and 10. This donation will go towards patient comfort.”
