Celebration to mark 10 year anniversary of NHS Tayside stroke liaison service

Members of the public have been invited to take part in a celebration event to mark the 10th anniversary of the stroke liaison service at Royal Victoria Hospital (RVH).

The stroke liaison service would like to invite all previous and current stroke/transient ischaemic attack (TIA) patients, along with their carers to join them on Thursday, 21 May 2015 between 10am – 4pm in the seminar room at RVH.

The stroke liaison service is a valuable service where the team provide ongoing care and support in the community for patients and their carers after a diagnosis of stroke or TIA.

A series of stalls and activities will be set up to mark the service’s tenth year in the local community.

Acting clinical co-ordinator Margaret Mitchell, said, “Activities will be taking place throughout the day. Please come along to any, or all, of the activity sessions to help us celebrate this special occasion.

“We will also be launching a new stroke lifestyle management course in collaboration with Chest, Heart & Stroke Scotland.”
