Kirrie walking group celebrates first anniversary

The Steps Tay Health Kirriemuir walking group celebrated its first anniversary with a walk round Kate's Wood and refreshments on Kirrie Hill.

Frances Joiner of NHS Tayside’s Health Improvement Team said, “We enjoyed a lovely walk despite having to shelter from a shower. We would like to thank our fabulous walk leaders Drew Fairfull and Murdo McLeod for a great year of walks and we are looking forward to another exciting year ahead.”

Steps Tay Health, an initiative between NHS Tayside and Paths For All, runs eight health-led walking groups throughout Angus. Walkers attending the groups benefit socially and say they experience improved health and wellbeing from the gentle exercise.

Those interested in joining any of the walking groups should contact Frances Joiner on 01307 476495 or

at frances.joiner@nhs.net for information on their nearest walking group.
