Forfar walkers take Steps Tay Health
The Forfar Steps Tay Health programme has started a Thursday group.
The Thursday group of the Steps Tay Health programme in Forfar held its first walk with an enjoyable ‘get to know you’ day round Forfar Loch. The walk leaders have plans to explore routes surrounding Forfar including Lour, Balmashanner, Lunanhead and more.
This new walk gives Steps Tay Health the opportunity to run two levels of walk in Forfar offering something for everyone.
Steps Tay Health, an initiative between NHS Tayside and Paths For All, runs health-led walking groups throughout Angus. Walkers attending the groups benefit socially and say they experience improved health and wellbeing from the gentle exercise.
Those interested in joining any of the walking groups should contact Frances Joiner on 01307 476495 or
at frances.joiner@nhs.net for information on their nearest walking group.
