IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Time to Remember at Roxburghe House

Friends and family who have lost loved ones in Dundee’s Roxburghe House are invited to a ‘Time to Remember’ where they can place a message in their memory on the Christmas tree.

Members of the public are welcome to come along on Monday, 7 December between 2.30pm and 4.30pm and on Thursday, 10 December between 6pm and 8pm.

The Roxburghe House Chaplain, Andrew Bennett, and other members of staff will be there to greet visitors and refreshments will be provided.

Andrew said, “Christmas can be a hard time as we remember those loved ones who are no longer with us. This act of remembrance gives us a chance to pause and reflect in amongst everything that is going on.

“We would like to invite those who have lost loved ones at Roxburghe House to come along and leave a message on the tree in remembrance of them.”

Roxburghe House is a purpose-built palliative care unit offering specialist care to patients with cancer and other illnesses. Patients can be admitted for short periods for relief from pain and other symptoms. The staff provide support to help people adapt to their illness with an emphasis on quality of life.
