FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

‘Forget Me Not’ afternoon tea at Roxburghe House

A ‘Forget Me Not’ afternoon tea is being held to provide a time for friends and family whose loved ones have passed away at Roxburghe House to remember them.

The ‘Forget Me Not’ event is being held on Monday, 9 May from 3pm – 6pm in Macmillan Day Care, Roxburghe House, Dundee. The event is part of the ‘Good Life, Good Death, Good Grief’ awareness week and there will be information resources available to take away.

Family and friends can drop in at any time during the relaxed and informal afternoon for a cup of tea and a chat. Visitors will also have the opportunity to write their own message in memory of their loved ones to place on the centre’s remembrance tree.

The Roxburghe House Chaplain and the Bereavement and Family Support Co-ordinators will be there to meet visitors.

Roxburghe House is a purpose-built specialist palliative care unit staffed by a dedicated team. People are admitted to the unit for short periods of time for the management of problems associated with advanced illness.  The multi professional team also provides supportive and dignified end of life care.

For more information on this event, please contact Chaplain Andrew Bennett on 01382 740804 or Family Support Co-ordinator Susan McGregor on 01382 423158.
