Health and wellbeing events for people living with the effects of cancer

People living with the effects of cancer are being invited to attend health and wellbeing events across Tayside.

The Tayside Transforming Care After Treatment (TCAT) team have organised the Living Well sessions in Angus, Dundee and Perth in the coming weeks to help people improve their general health and wellbeing and to manage the effects of their illness.

The following Living Well After Cancer Treatment events are taking place:

    • Perth – Tuesday, 2 August, 1pm - 4pm at the Dewars Conference Centre.

    • Dundee – Tuesday, 30 August, 1pm - 4pm at 1 Shore Terrace, Dundee

    • Angus – Monday, 19 September, 1pm - 4pm at Angus Carers Centre in Arbroath

During the supportive group events, presentations, workshops and information stands will be available on a wide range of subjects, including common side effects after treatment, exercise and healthy eating, and advice on finance.

Helen Dryden, project lead for Transforming Care After Treatment, said, “After cancer treatment, many people find it helpful to learn what they can do to improve their general health and wellbeing and how to manage the effects of their illness. You, and a family member or friend, are warmly invited to attend these free events.”
