Ladybird Kids Club at Ninewells community garden

A children’s club will be running for six weeks from 31 August at Ninewells community garden.

Come and enjoy an afternoon in the garden! There will be treasure hunts, bug hunting, den making, bark rubbing, seed growing and many more activities.

Sessions are free to attend and suitable for ages three to eight. Children must be accompanied by an adult who can also join in with the activities, relax in the beautiful garden (refreshments will be provided) or take part in some gentle gardening activities. 

The sessions will run from 4.30-6pm starting on 31 August for six weeks.

The community garden is an area that is accessible for staff, patients and the local community for exercise, recreation and recuperation.

The garden, which is a registered charity, includes herbaceous plants, fruit and vegetables, a sensory garden and a medicinal herb garden in an accessible environment.

The aim of the garden is to promote physical activity and good health through gardening. The garden is supported by volunteers and is open to the public, local groups, hospital staff and patients.

The community garden can be found in the grounds next to the Maggie’s Centre and the A&E

department. It can be accessed through the hospital following signs for A&E. Parking is available at A&E or on the public road at Ninewells Avenue.
