IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Time to Remember at Roxburghe House

Friends and family who have lost loved ones in Dundee’s Roxburghe House are invited to a ‘Time to Remember’ where they can place a message in their memory on the Christmas tree in the Sanctuary.

Members of the public are welcome to come along on Monday, 5 December between 2 and 4pm and on Wednesday, 7 December between 6pm and 8pm.

The Roxburghe House chaplain Andrew Bennett and other members of staff will be there to greet visitors and refreshments will be provided. At the event on 5 December, the refreshments will be provided in the Roxy Pot in Macmillan Day Care at the Roxburghe House reception.

Andrew said, “Christmas can be a time when we remember loved ones who have died. The act of remembrance gives us a chance to pause, reflect and honour them amongst everything that is going on.”

Roxburghe House is a purpose-built palliative care unit offering specialist care to patients with cancer and other illnesses. Patients can be admitted for short periods for relief from pain and other symptoms. The staff provide support to help people adapt to their illness with an emphasis on quality of life.

Access to the sanctuary will be via the car park.
