IMMEDIATE RELEASE

New art exhibition at Westgate Medical Practice

Local artists are being given another opportunity to display their work at Westgate Medical Practice.

As part of the Westgate’s ongoing support to its ‘twin’ health clinic in Malawi, local artists are being given the opportunity to display their artwork in the waiting areas and corridors. The previous four exhibitions have proved popular.

The idea was originally suggested by Mrs Jacqueline Wilson, a member of the patient advisory group and local artist Joe McIntyre is organising the exhibition. Westgate Medical Practice’s Malawian charity will receive 25% of any sale made.

Sam Riddell, Practice Director at Westgate Medical Practice said “The team at Westgate are delighted to provide another opportunity for local artists to showcase their artistic talent and a great way to raise money for the ‘twin’ health clinic in Zomba, Malawi.”

A total of 89 paintings have been sold and £1,758 has been donated to the clinic in Malawi.
