Chat & Play Sessions

Once you have contacted us, you may be advised to attend a Chat & Play Session. This is a fun and relaxed session for parents and carers with children under the age of 5yrs to discuss any concerns around your child’s communication such as:
  • the number of words your child is using for their age
  • your child is not yet joining words together
  • your child does not understand what you are saying to them
  • your child seems disinterested or finds it difficult to communicate
  • your child’s speech is not as clear as you would expect for their age
  • your child seems disinterested in interacting with family members, family or peers

What to expect at the session:
During your visit, we will plan together how to best support your child’s communication. We will have experienced SLT's on hand to play with you and your child in a small group.

Request for Assistance (RFA)

We would prefer you to contact us directly using our Advice Line, Social Media or Drop in sessions before completing our Request for Assistance (RFA) form.  Our RFA form has been updated as of 2019.  You can download it from the tab below.
We have an open RFA system which means parents/carers, as well as professionals, can complete and return a request should there be a concern regarding a child's communication skills.
