The Communication Tree is a useful tool that you can use to help discuss communication with a family.
It is designed to show the many different areas of speech, language and communication and can be useful to explain to a family what SLT do. Talking together with a family about the different aspects of their child’s communication can help you and them consider both what their child can do successfully, as well as areas they would benefit from developing further.
