Our aim is to deliver world-class comprehensive care, education and research for the people of Tayside, Angus and North East Fife living with skin disease.

About Us

The main base of the Department is at Ninewells Hospital. This is predominantly an outpatient department which provides general and specialist clinics, phototherapy/PUVA, photodynamic therapy, skin surgery, laser therapy and a nurse run outpatient treatment centre.

Peripheral clinics are held at Perth, Stracathro, Arbroath, St Andrews and Cupar and outpatient therapy centres including phototherapy and PUVA are available at Perth, Stracathro and St Andrews. UVB phototherapy is also available at Arbroath Infirmary and in community hospitals in Crieff and Pitlochry.

Located within the Ninewells department are the National Referral Centre for Photobiology and Porphyria and the Dermatology Cancer Centre which provides state-of-the-art facilities for investigation and treatment of skin cancer, including the North of Scotland Cancer Network (NOSCAN) Macmillan Mohs’ service.
