The Knowledge Network

The Knowledge Network is the national online information service for health and social care in Scotland.

It is provided by the Knowledge Services group at NHS Education for Scotland.

Many of the resources in TKN are freely available, but to get the full benefit of the service, register for an Athens password at www.knowledge.scot.nhs.uk.

From The Knowledge Network home page you can easily find:

Evidence summary services to support decisions at point of care
Library resources
Databases to conduct literature searches and research
Links to other websites
Recent news and announcements

You can use the Tabs to access:

Library Search – to find books, journals, articles and NHS library collections (primarily print books)
Portals and Topics – tailored access by topic or staff group
Learning and CPD resources – including eLearning courses and pages dedicated to educators and supervisors
Communities – community websites and information about developing communities of practice and using a range of social media tools
Current Awareness – Current Awareness Bulletins, alert services and table of content services
Mobile – information about downloading services to your mobile devices
