Informing, Involving and Consulting in Aberfeldy and Surrounding Areas

Aberfeldy town
Over the next 20 years in Perth and Kinross, similarly to every other area in Scotland, we know that there will be many more older people.

The population of over-65s in Perth and Kinross is projected to grow by more than 65%.  At the same time, the number of young people will reduce causing an impact on the workforce available to the NHS.

This predicted major change to the age range of our communities means the demands for healthcare and the way in which our services will be delivered will likely be very different in future years.

NHS Tayside and its partners are committed to communicating with, and involving, patients, carers, families and the local community in designing, developing and delivering care services in Aberfeldy and the surrounding areas.

NHS Tayside and its partners believes that working together with communities will help ensure that local services respond to the current and future needs of communities in the Aberfeldy area.

Evelyn Devine, head of older people’s services with Perth & Kinross Community Health Partnership, said, “The views of the communities living in Aberfeldy and the surrounding areas are very important to us.

“It is vital that our local health services respond to the needs of the communities and we want to ensure that health and social care services are delivered by the right professional in the right place.

“We are keen for members of the public to get involved in the engagement process and feedback their views, opinions and ideas for healthcare in their own communities.”
