Keith Matthews is Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Dundee and Honorary Consultant Psychiatrist with NHS Tayside in the Advanced Interventions Service based at Ninewells Hospital - a designated national specialist service for the treatment of chronic, treatment-refractory depression and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. Professor Matthews trained in medicine, psychiatry, behavioural neuroscience and experimental psychology in Aberdeen, San Diego and Cambridge. He obtained his MD and PhD degrees from the Universities of Aberdeen and Cambridge, respectively, in 1997 and 1998. His research interests include the influences of early experience on behavioural and neural development and the neurobiology and treatment of drug addiction, mood and anxiety disorders.
