Would you like to be kept up to date on what is happening within your NHS in Tayside?
Who?
- NHS Tayside Public Partners is a network made up of patient groups, members of the public, carers and voluntary organisations
- They work in partnership with NHS Tayside
- The network is open to individuals or groups who have an interest in health and health related issues
- You do not need to have specialist skills, knowledge or experience of health care
What they do?
- Public Partners participate in a range of activities that are instigated by NHS Tayside
- The network is supported by NHS Tayside’s Public Involvement Team
- This includes the reimbursement of any out of pocket expenses such as travel costs and support allowances. For example child care costs.
Members have the opportunity to:
- Challenge proposals
- Contribute to decision making
- Act as a sounding board for NHS Tayside by giving their views in the development of strategies and policies and in the redesign of services
What do they get involved in?
- Members decide how they would like to be involved
- They can participate as and when they like in the activities that are of interest to them
These activities are all related to the improvement of services ranging from the information leaflets given to patients through to new developments in the way services are delivered.
- An individual’s involvement could be:
- Online only - For example complete online surveys. Visit: www.yournhstayside.scot.nhs.uk
- In person – For example attend a focus group
- A combination of the above – In person and online
- Receive information only – For example a newsletter
