£900 donated to rheumatology department
A Dundee woman donated £900 to the rheumatology department at Ninewells Hospital today (Monday).
Hilda Henderson celebrated her 80th birthday and instead of gifts asked friends and family to make a donation.
Hilda, who receives treatment at the rheumatology department for rheumatoid arthritis said, “I’ve raised money for other causes in the past. This time I wanted to raise money for the department as everyone is very nice and helpful. I wanted to give something back to say thank you.”
Accepting the cheque, consultant physician, Dr Thomas Pullar said, “I have known Hilda for many years. I know this cause is very close to her heart and I am very grateful to Hilda, her friends and family for this contribution to the rheumatology service.”
