Donation to Children’s Ward
The City of Dundee Lions Club donated a TV and Xbox 360 to the Children’s Ward at Ninewells Hospital.
The club opened a charity shop in Blairgowrie to raise money for different charities in the area.
Tom McDade, a member of the Lions Club said, “We raise money for local charities throughout the year and for this fundraiser, we decided to open a charity shop.
“The money raised was split between various local charities. We decided to buy something that will keep children entertained and distract them while they are in hospital.”
Accepting the donation, senior play specialist, May Duncan said, “On behalf of the staff and children on ward 29, I would like to thank the Dundee Lions Club for their generous donation. This will provide a great distraction and help children cope with their stay in hospital.”
