Midwifery team leader retires after more than 40 years service
Anne Reilly, a midwifery team leader at Ninewells Hospital has retired after more than 40 years service.
Anne, who is originally from Dumbarton, started her nursing career in 1974 at Perth Royal Infirmary (PRI) and trained to be a registered general nurse.
Anne began her midwifery training at PRI in 1980 and worked as a midwife and a team leader until 2004 when she came to work as a team leader at the labour suite at Ninewells.
Presenting Anne with her gifts, senior midwife Chrissie Hastings said, “Anne is very well know by so many women in Tayside having delivered two generations of many families.
She comes from a large family herself and has always been an approachable, practical midwife with a wry sense of Glaswegian humour. She will be missed by everyone.”
