£720 donated to urology department
An Arbroath couple donated £720 to the urology department at Ninewells Hospital today (MONDAY)
Kenneth Symon celebrated his 70th birthday and instead of gifts, asked friends and family to make a donation.
Kenneth, who had treatment at the urology department for kidney cancer, said, “I wanted to do something to say thank you. My treatment went well, I’ve had no problems and I am living a normal life.”
Kenneth’s wife Iris, who is a volunteer at Ninewells, said, “We are humbled and amazed at how generous our friends and family have been. We are very thankful.”
Accepting the cheque, consultant urological surgeon Chris Goodman said, “On behalf of the urology department I would like to extend a huge thank you to Mr and Mrs Symon and their friends and family for their donation.”
