Susan Wilson retires after 30 years in health care
Susan Wilson has retired from her role as Interim Chief Officer for the Angus Shadow Health and Social Care Integration Partnership.
To mark the occasion, colleagues arranged a lunch event where Susan was presented with flowers and gifts by Alison Rogers, non executive member of NHS Tayside Board.
Susan began her career as an occupational therapist at the Southern General Hospital in Glasgow in 1982. She came to Tayside as Head Occupational Therapist for Dundee District Occupational Therapy Service in 1988.
After several years working in rehab services in Dundee, Susan moved to Angus in 2002 as General Manager of the Angus Local Healthcare Co-operative and later became General Manager of Angus Community Health Partnership. In 2014, she was appointed Interim Chief Officer for the Angus Health & Social Care Partnership.
Lesley McLay, Chief Executive of NHS Tayside said, “Susan has made a huge contribution to health services in Tayside, especially in Angus, and she has championed the integration of health and social care services.
“She will be tremendously missed by everyone she worked with. I wish her all the very best for her retirement.”
Susan said, “I would like to sincerely thank all my colleagues and friends who, over the years in Tayside and most especially in Angus, have made my working career so enjoyable.
“I am looking forward to a lovely summer with my family and to new opportunities in the future.”
