Open day at Montrose Community Maternity Unit

An open day in being held at Montrose Community Maternity Unit to promote a wide range of services on offer at the maternity units across Angus.

The open day, being held on Friday, 23 October between 2-8pm is aimed at prospective parents, pregnant ladies, their partners and family but everyone is welcome to come along and meet members of the Angus midwifery team and learn more about the services offered including water births, relaxation classes, self-hypnosis and our very successful  aromatherapy service.

Members of the Angus midwifery team will be on hand to chat with visitors, answer questions and give tours of the unit. Children are welcome and craft activities will be available with refreshments also on offer. In addition a mum who recently gave birth in Angus will be demonstrating a variety of baby wraps and will explain how these can help promote bonding between parent and child.

Visitors can drop in at any time , have a tour and a chat about water birth, natural labour and birth and aromatherapy massages. The day will end with a relaxation session for mums-to-be.
