FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Meeting dates for Edzell Long Term Conditions Support Group

Following a successful first meeting, the Edzell Long Term Conditions Support Group has planned a series of further meetings over the winter period.

Patients living with a long term condition in the Edzell area are invited to the meetings which are free to attend and include a talk from an invited speaker. People can bring along a friend or relative and tea and coffee will be provided with plenty of time to chat.

The group is open to adults living with any long term condition and aims to provide access to ongoing information, education and support from others also living with a long term condition.

Rhona Guild, Primary Care Manager and Long Term Conditions Lead for NHS Tayside (Angus) attended the first meeting to support the new group and said, “There were nine of us at the first meeting with those attending from Edzell delighted to have access to support locally.

“The meeting was very positive with representatives from the other long term condition support groups in Angus sharing their experiences.

“The new group agreed what they wanted to achieve and thanked Dr Jacobs for allowing them to use the Health Centre facilities.”

The following dates and speakers have been arranged for future meetings which will be held in the Edzell Health Centre from 2-4pm.

    • Tuesday, 24 November – Trading Standards

    • Tuesday, 26 January – Voluntary Action Angus

    • Tuesday, 23 February – Police Scotland
