New art exhibition at Whitehills gallery

Patients, staff and visitors at Whitehills Health & Community Care Centre in Forfar can enjoy a new art exhibition showcasing the works of Frank McDiarmid.

Running throughout December and January, the exhibition features works by Frank who spent 11 years illustrating Roger the Dodger from the Beano whilst working as a cartoonist at DC Thomson.

The exhibition shows off Frank’s fine art skills and features works in watercolour and oils of scenes in Capri, Prague, Spain and Cornwall as well as closer to home in Fife, Arbroath and Forfar.

Exhibitions at Whitehills are changed every eight weeks and the majority of the artworks are for sale, with each artist donating 20% commission on all sales to the Whitehills Arts & Environment Fund. All money raised is used to enhance the Whitehills environment.

Situated in the main corridor, the gallery has provided space for many local artists to show their work and the public are invited to pop in and view this new exhibition.
