Donation to wards 2 and 4 at Ninewells
A Broughty Ferry family has donated money to two wards in Ninewells Hospital in memory of Helen Black.
Helen’s family visited Ninewells Hospital to donate £150 to ward 2 and £100 to ward 4.
The money was raised by family and friends who kindly donated money at Helen’s funeral after she sadly passed away.
Freda Doig, Helen’s daughter, said, “Our friends and family have been so generous. We wanted to say thank you for the excellent care my mum received during her time on ward 4.
“My daughter Gillian has spent a lot of time on ward 2 over the past six years so we thought we could give something back to them too.”
Accepting the cheque on behalf of ward 4, senior charge nurse Linda Nicol said, “Thank you to the Doig family for their kind donation to the ward. This contribution will go towards patient comfort.”
Accepting the cheque on behalf of ward 2, staff nurse Leslie Partridge said, “We greatly appreciate the donation made by the Doig family. We wish Gillian a happy and healthy future.”
