Tayside Healthcare Arts Trust (THAT) holds charity art auction

Tayside Healthcare Arts Trust (THAT) is hosting its fourth fundraising art auction at Discovery Point in Dundee on Thursday, 17 November 2016.

The charity art auction is being held at 6.30pm on Thursday, 17 November and will provide an opportunity to own a piece of original art by well-known contemporary artists and up-and-coming artists.

Art enthusiasts will have the opportunity to bid at a silent auction on 98 A5 postcard-sized artworks created by artists from across Tayside and North Fife.

Karine Neill Development Officer said, “I love the wide range of styles and variety of the work shown in the A5 postcard artworks. They are all very unique pieces of art to own.”

Artists donating artwork include Barry Fantoni, Eileen Gardner, Joe McIntyre, James Hall Thomson, Ruth Walker, Joyce Cairns, John Johnstone and many more artists of note.

Steven Dewar, of Dundee Auctioneers Curr & Dewar will also be auctioning a selection of 59 individual

larger pieces of artwork.

Joan Forsyth, THAT Chair, said, “We are astonished by the generosity of the artists who have contributed to our fourth charity art auction. The support received from artists and sponsors is tremendous.

“This event helps raise awareness of and funds for THAT which is a charitable trust that works to design and develop creative engagement opportunities for people living with long term health conditions such as stroke, dementia, chronic pain, MS and many more who will all benefit greatly from this support.”
