CBIR benefits from Christmas calendar competition
The Centre for Brain Injury Rehabilitation (CBIR) at Royal Victoria Hospital in Dundee was presented with a cheque for £200 following success in a Christmas calendar competition.
Solicitors Digby Brown held an art competition to fill the pages of their Christmas calendar. Two patients at CBIR, Stuart Anderson from Dundee and Craig Towns from Forfar had their artwork chosen to be in the calendar and were invited by Digby Brown to a prize-giving ceremony in Glasgow along with CBIR artist Christine Goodman.
The winners each received a prize of £50 worth of vouchers and CBIR received a donation of £200 towards group funds.
Jennifer Watson from Digby Brown Solicitors in Dundee presented Craig with his Art Certificate of Award. To thank the CBIR for all their help with the competition, Craig presented CBIR consultants Douglas Gentleman and Dr Rabia Din with the cheque for £200.
Accepting the cheque, Dr Din said, “Well done to Craig and Stuart on their success with their artwork and thanks to Digby Brown for the generous donation which will benefit patients from across Tayside.”
Kathleen McMonagle from Digby Brown said, “I’m delighted to congratulate both Stuart and Craig for their fantastic artwork and would like to thank Christine Goodman from the CBIR for encouraging so many patients to take part in the competition and helping us produce a calendar to be proud of, which will be circulated to hospitals, clinics and brain injury services across the country.”
