Dominoes raise money for ward 23a at Ninewells
A charity dominoes challenge raised £222 for ward 23a at Ninewells Hospital.
Carlie Low from Dundee was a patient on ward 23a three years ago after suffering a stroke when she was just 18 years old.
Carlie said, “I wanted to thank the staff for being fantastic, a great team and for looking after me so well. I had a stroke when I was 18 and I have had ongoing treatment on the ward since.
“My dad Neil takes part in a charity domino challenge twice a year. They raise money for different charities and this year they chose ward 23a. The dominoes challenge took place between Frew’s Bar and Sandy’s Bar.
Accepting the donation senior charge nurse Nicki Fleming-Stewart said, “Thank you to everyone who took part in the dominoes challenge and thinking of ward 23a it is very much appreciated. Your generous donation will benefit our patients.”
