Volunteers wanted for Ninewells Gift Shop

Are you a people-person who has a couple of hours a week to spare? Ninewells Gift Shop offers volunteer opportunities and would love to hear from you.

Ninewells Gift Shop is located in the main concourse of Ninewells Hospital and offers a range of gifts, toys, greeting cards, jewellery, scarves, bags, candles, handmade soap and much more.

The shop is now looking for volunteers who have a cheery and outgoing personality and who can commit to this role for at least six months.

Val Ewan, voluntary service manager with NHS Tayside said, “It is a great opportunity if you enjoy social interaction and to have a chat. The funds generated by Ninewells Gift Shop make a big difference to patients and families across Tayside.

“The gift shop already has a dedicated team of volunteers, but we have recently revised the store’s opening hours and we now have some new opportunities for volunteers. There are various shifts available and the shop is open from Monday to Saturday.

“If you are interested in volunteering, please get in touch. There are no formal requirements, but our volunteers need to complete a volunteer application form and a Disclosure Scotland check.”
