Generous donation to ward 6 at Ninewells

The generous family and friends of Isabella (known as Isabel) Milne made a donation of £270 to ward 6 at Ninewells in her memory.

Twin sisters Jennifer Todd and Jacqueline Brown donated £270 to ward 6 at Ninewells in memory of their mum Isabella, known as Isabel, on behalf of their two brothers Jeoff and Barrie, family and friends. Instead of flowers at Isabel’s funeral, they asked their family and friends to make a donation to the ward.

Jennifer said, “The doctors and nurses were both warm and compassionate to our mum and our family. Our mum always spoke highly of the nurses’ work ethic and their positive attitudes towards all the patients and visitors.”

Jacqueline said “We cannot thank them enough for all their hard work, compassion and helping us through a very difficult time.

“During our time in mum’s room towards her final hours, they made sure we were all given refreshments and were comfortable despite increasing numbers of family in the room.”

Accepting the donation, senior charge nurse Nicki Hedley said, “Thank you to Isabel’s family and friends for their donation and the kind things they said. It is very much appreciated. Their donation will go towards our patient comfort fund.”
