Family donates benches in memory of Fraser Graeme Robertson
The Robertson family from Dundee has donated two benches the intensive care unit at Ninewells.
Fraser Robertson visited Ninewells ICU to donate two benches on behalf of his family in memory of his son, Fraser Graeme Robertson. His son Fraser was treated there when he fell into a diabetic coma.
Fraser said, “At Fraser’s funeral, we had a collection for ICU. We decided to buy benches so patients and their families can sit outside. The staff are amazing and do great work there. They are very friendly and kept us at ease. Thank you to them for their hard work and to all our friends and family for their donation.”
Accepting the donation on behalf of ICU, staff nurse Dawn McKay said, “Thank you so much to Fraser’s friends and family for this very kind donation. We have an outside area so our patients who are well enough will be able to sit outside with their family in the warmer months for some fresh air.”
