Medical Physics staff donate to children

NHS Tayside’s medical physics department raised money for Tayside Children’s Hospital and the Sunshine Box.

Staff from medical physics at Ninewells Hospital held a tea party to raise money to buy toys, books and a voucher for arts and craft supplies for the Tayside Children’s Hospital.

The Sunshine Box is a charity that supplies toys, books and games to the Tayside Children’s Hospital and the children’s unit at Perth Royal Infirmary.

Medical physics service support officer Michelle Batchelor said, “I thought it would be nice to have a tea party for my colleagues. Everyone contributed and we managed to raise money to buy items for the Sunshine Box and a voucher to buy art and crafts. It’s important for children to express themselves through arts and crafts. It really can help to take their mind of feeling unwell.”

Accepting the donation play specialist Maxine Roy said, “Thank you to everyone who donated. It is very much appreciated.”
