The Glenlaw Parents Group presented two specialist bath seats to Glenlaw House at Kings Cross to help children feel more comfortable to enjoy their bath time.

Glenlaw House provides respite and short breaks for children and young people aged up to 18 with severe profound learning disabilities and complex healthcare needs. The facility provides care to 34 children and young people from across Tayside and north east Fife.

The two specialist bath seats costing £730 were bought with money raised from the Glenlaw Parents Group’s Open House and a coffee morning at the Glenlaw House open day held by Dundee East MSP Shona Robison.

Allan Petrie, Chair of the Glenlaw Parents Group, said, "It is with great pleasure that we are able to buy these specialist bath seats for Glenlaw House to enhance our children's respite stay.

“We couldn't have bought these without the generosity from the general public. We thank them all for their support and look forward to their continued support in the future.”

Accepting the donation on behalf of Glenlaw House, senior charge nurse Christine Dempster said, “The new bath seats are greatly appreciated and will allow the children and young people accessing Glenlaw House to enjoy a sensory bath much more comfortably.”
