Feedback wanted on active travel to Ninewells

NHS Tayside is encouraging people to give their views about opportunities for active travel on their journey to Ninewells Hospital.

NHS Tayside is working in partnership with Dundee City Council to carry out an active travel study which will review the existing active travel infrastructure at the site to identify possible improvements.

The aim of the study is to deliver a range of actions to encourage and enable more patients, visitors and staff to travel to the site using healthy, low cost travel options such as walking, cycling or taking public transport.

To inform the study, the public, patients, staff and visitors or anyone who travels to Ninewells regularly is being encouraged to give their views on what can be done to make it better to walk or cycle and use scooters, wheelchairs and buggies in and around Ninewells Hospital.

There are a number of ways that you can do this:

• Visit Placecheck map www.placecheck.info/maps/ninewells to record your comments at locations where you would like to see improvements (please note that a quick registration process is required)

• Email your comments to ninewells@systra.com

• Come along to share your views with the team on the main concourse on Tuesday, 26 February from 10.00am – 6.00pm, and at the staff canteen on level 5 from 12 – 2.00pm
