Annual quiz night raises money for ward 10

Dundee man Russell Brannan donated £600 to ward 10 at Ninewells Hospital.

Former patient Russell held his annual quiz and raffle night to raise money for ward 10 at Ninewells to thank staff for looking after him when he was treated on the ward.

The quiz night held at Craigie Bowling Club also had a raffle with prizes donated from local businesses.

Russell said, “I was diagnosed with bowel cancer in 2017. As part of my treatment I had an operation and the staff on ward 10 looked after me. Everyone there is really nice and they took very good care of me.

“I wanted to thank everyone for all their hard work and dedication. I am undergoing chemotherapy just now so the quiz night was a great distraction.”

Accepting the donation, senior charge nurse Jennifer Brown said, “Thank you to Russell for all his hard work fundraising for ward 10. We very much appreciate his ongoing support and kind donation.”
