Local artists support charity art auction

Tayside Healthcare Arts Trust (THAT) is hosting a fundraising art auction at Discovery Point in Dundee on Thursday, 21 November.

The charity art auction is being held at 6.30pm on Thursday, 21 November and will provide an opportunity to own a piece of original art by well-known contemporary and up-and-coming artists.

During the evening art enthusiasts will have the opportunity to bid at a silent auction on a wide variety of

postcard-sized artwork created by artists from across Tayside and North Fife.

Artists donating artwork include Barry Fantoni, Liz Yule, Charles Monteith Walker, Joe McIntyre, James Hall Thomson, Kate Downie, and Sandro Paladini.

Steven Dewar, of Dundee Auctioneers Curr & Dewar, will be auctioning a selection of larger individual pieces of artwork.

THAT project development officer Karine Neill said, “We are delighted by the generosity of the artists who have contributed to our fifth charity art auction. The work and support received by artists and sponsors is tremendous. This event helps raise funds and awareness for THAT’s work. Participants living with long term health conditions will benefit from the programmes this will support.”

THAT successfully delivers art programmes in partnership with NHS Tayside and local support

agencies. The programmes are designed to stimulate and encourage people living with stroke, dementia, MS, Parkinson’s and other long-term health conditions.
