COVID-19 patient ‘overwhelmed’ by dedication of Ninewells staff
An Invergowrie man and his family have thanked staff at Ninewells for their dedication and care after he spent nearly two weeks in hospital being treated for COVID-19.
Ken Clark was in Ninewells for 11 days after contracting coronavirus. He was discharged at the weekend and wanted to say thank to you to all the staff in Ninewells who cared for and helped him in his recovery.
Staff nurse in Ward 3 Ashley Gunn said, “We discharged Ken today after a two week stay in Ninewells. Ken said he was overwhelmed by the dedication of the staff and asked us to take a photo with him to highlight his positive outcome.”
Ken’s daughter Laura Meach, who is a radiographer at Ninewells, added, “We cannot thank all the staff enough for what they have done for my dad.
“When he made it home we announced it with a ‘breaking news’ video featuring my four-year-old son Lewis.
“Thank you team Ninewells. Keep going, you’re doing an amazing job!”
