NHS Tayside Pays it Forward – Tayside Children’s Hospital staff give back

Staff from Tayside Children’s Hospital have backed the NHS Tayside Pays it Forward campaign by donating food and toiletries to a number of food banks in Dundee.

The NHS Tayside Pays it Forward campaign was initiated by members of staff who wanted to donate items to communities across Tayside to say thank you for the support they have received during the COVID-19 pandemic.

As we are now seeing a welcome decrease in the number of coronavirus patients and the focus turns to planning for the next phases, staff decided that it was now their time to give back.

Charge Nurse Kirsten Murray said, “We have received so many kind and generous donations from individuals and local companies during the coronavirus pandemic. We wanted to pay this generosity forward to help local families in Dundee who may need a little bit of extra help at this time.”

Staff from Tayside Children’s Hospital are not the only ones backing the campaign this week. Staff from Westgate Medical Practice have also clubbed together to donate much-needed items for worthy causes in the Dundee area.
