Hearing aid clinics back on across Angus

Volunteer-led hearing aid clinics are back up and running in Angus on an appointment only basis.

The clinics are run by NHS Tayside volunteers who are able to replace tubing for standard NHS hearing aids with ear moulds and also open fit style hearing aids. They are also able to supply new batteries.

Appointments are now available at:

• Links Health Centre, Montrose: Second and Fourth Friday of every month from 10am – 1pm

• Whitehills Health and Community Care Centre, Forfar: Every second Tuesday from 10am - 1pm and every second Thursday from 1pm - 4pm

• Arbroath Infirmary: Second and fourth Thursday 1pm – 4pm

The Jenner Centre in Brechin is also operating a drop-in clinic every Tuesday 10am – 12pm. No appointment is needed for this clinic.

Leigh Mitchell, Voluntary Services Coordinator, said, “We are delighted that our Volunteer Hearing Aid Clinics are back.

“I would like to take this opportunity to thank our volunteers for their hard work and determination to offer this service to our patients. Without them this heavy relied on service would not be able to go ahead.”

Appointments can be booked by calling Audiology on 01382 596965. Patients are reminded to bring their NHS yellow book to their appointment.

Patients must wear a fluid resistant mask to their appointment, unless exempt, and to maintain physical distancing where possible.
