For immediate release:

Surge drop-in vaccination clinics for 18 to 29-year-olds in Tayside

Cases of COVID-19 across communities in Tayside are continuing to rise and therefore a number of surge vaccine clinics have been arranged for the few days for 18 to 29-year-olds.

Anyone aged 18-29 who has not had their first Pfizer vaccine and does not have an appointment can drop in to:

Caird Hall, Dundee: Thursday 24 – Wednesday 30 June, 10am-6pm

Dewars Centre, Perth: Thursday 24 – Wednesday 30 June, 10am-6pm

Arbroath Community Centre: Saturday 26 – Wednesday 30 June, 10am-6pm

Scheduled clinics for those who have appointments will continue to run across Tayside so if you have an appointment please attend.

Dr Emma Fletcher, Director of Public Health, said, “Unfortunately, over the past few days, we have seen another sharp increase in the number of new cases of COVID-19 in Dundee and across Tayside.

“We know that getting vaccinated is our best way out of the pandemic and I would strongly recommend that everyone gets the vaccine when offered.

“From tomorrow, we are running drop-in vaccination clinics across Tayside for people aged 18 to 29. So, please come along and get the jab to protect yourself, your loved ones and your community.”
