Updated car parking arrangements at Ninewells Hospital
From Monday, 12 July, all short stay car parks at Ninewells will be reinstated to be dedicated for patients and visitors only.
Car parking arrangements at Ninewells were changed at the start of the pandemic with all car parks being available for use by staff as well as patients and visitors. The Scottish Government also froze parking charges at all hospital sites in Scotland and it remains free to park at Ninewells.
With clinical services restarting and patient visiting reinstated, more people are coming to the hospital so car parking arrangements have been reviewed to ensure that parking for patients and visitors is available close to the hospital to support them attending appointments and visiting relatives.
From Monday, 12 July, here’s what you need to know about parking at Ninewells:
• It is free to park on the Ninewells site.
• All short stay car parks on site, including car parks 5 and 6, will be reinstated as dedicated parking areas for patients and visitors
• Short stay car parks have three or four hour time limits
• Free ‘collect and display’ tickets must be displayed in all cars parked in short stay car parks
• Tickets can be picked up from the ticket collection points which can be found within the short stay car parks.
• There is no change to long stay car parks; car parks 1, 2, 9 and multi-storey.
• Dedicated staff permit car parking areas at Ninewells will remain.
• Saba UK will continue to supervise and monitor the car parks at Ninewells to ensure safe and effective management.
