A bit of ‘This n THAT’ fundraising celebration exhibition

Tayside Healthcare Arts Trust (THAT) is hosting its first celebration art exhibition at the Meffan Gallery Forfar, opening on Saturday, 4 March.

‘This n THAT’ exhibition opens on Saturday 4 March from 2-4pm and will run until Saturday 22 April.

This exhibition is to acknowledge the contribution of the artists in delivering the various creative engagement programmes across Tayside and will also include work created by some of the participants on the programmes.

This is the first time since the pandemic THAT has held a fundraising art exhibition in celebration of the artists associated with the charity. All the art works are for sale including framed art work, unframed prints, ceramics and small felt work.

THAT Chairperson Annette McBride said, “I particularly wanted to bring people together after such a long and difficult few years and to celebrate the artists and participants that have worked with THAT over this time. I love the wide range of styles and variety of the works which are fantastic and very unique pieces of art.”

Artists donating their work include Frances Law, Les Mackay, Gillian McFarlane, Pamela Scott, Louise Kirby and Freya Cumming.

Karine Neill, THAT Development Officer, said, “We are delighted by the generosity of the artists who have contributed to this exhibition and to the Meffan Museum and Art Galllery, in association with ANGUSalive museums and galleries. This is a fantastic opportunity to raise awareness of THAT as well as raise funds for the charity.”

The Meffan Gallery and Museum is open during March from 10am-4pm, Thursday to Saturday and from 1 April, 10am-4pm, Tuesday to Saturday.
