The C Word at The Corner
The Corner is running a campaign to raise awareness of sexual health amongst young people in Tayside.
‘The C Word’ campaign aims to enable young people to make informed choices about their sexual and reproductive health by improving awareness of contraception and dispel common myths about sexual health.
The team is also running a survey to gain insights into what young people already know about sexual health and contraception and identify gaps in their knowledge to help shape services for the future.
Senior sexual health nurse Jackie Fitzpatrick said, “The nurse-led service at The Corner is always keen to engage with young people and listen and act on feedback to improve accessibility and promote health and wellbeing.
“We would appreciate if young people could take part in our survey to help us keep improving our services and ensure they meet their needs.”
The survey can be accessed here or @thecornerdundee on Facebook.
The Corner is a health and wellbeing service based in Dundee City Centre for young people aged 11-19 years or up to age 25 for vulnerable young people. An NHS Tayside multi-disciplinary team provides a range of supports including sexual health, emotional health, crisis intervention, substance use, young carer support and counselling.
