Creative arts group showcase work in Arbroath exhibition
Participants of THAT (Tayside Healthcare Arts Trust) brought their programme to a close with a special exhibition at Arbroath Infirmary.
For 8 weeks the group, led by artist Suzie Scott, explored different techniques such as pastels, chalks, and mono printing. There work was then put on display for all their family and friends to see in the Macmillan Day Services unit at Arbroath Infirmary.
Suzie said, “I am delighted by the group’s enthusiasm and by the quality of the work they have produced. It has been a delight to see them grow in confidence and ability each week.”
Macmillan Day Services charge nurse Rachel Leonard said, “It’s been a pleasure to host this programme and bring people into the day unit for something creative. The participants have made some great artwork and everyone is very pleased with their pieces. Staff have also loved being involved with this programme.”
THAT development officer Karine Neill said, “It has been a lovely programme to bring to this area of care. Suzie worked amazingly well with everyone, and the programme has allowed time to gently explore techniques and create lovely artwork while making social contact.”
