Forget Me Not drop-in event at Roxburghe House
A Forget Me Not remembrance event is being held for friends and family whose loved ones have passed away at Roxburghe House.
The event will take place on Tuesday 5 May 2026, between 4 and 6.30pm, in the dining room in the Macmillan Day Centre at Roxburghe House.
Family and friends can drop in during the relaxed and informal event which aims to provide a time to pause, reflect and remember their loved ones who have passed away whilst in the care of the hospice.
Members of the Family Bereavement and Support Service team and the Chaplain will be present throughout the remembrance event to offer a listening ear and quiet support to those who wish it.
Visitors will also have the opportunity to write a personal message in memory of their loved one and place it on the centre’s remembrance tree.
This Forget Me Not event is part of the ‘Good Life, Good Death, Good Grief’ awareness week and there will be information resources available to take away.
Roxburghe House is a purpose-built specialist palliative care unit staffed by a dedicated team. People are admitted to the unit for short periods of time for the management of symptoms associated with advanced illness. The service provides short-term admissions for the management of complex symptoms, as well as compassionate, dignified end-of-life care and support for patients and their families.
