Hillcrest Futures Angus Mental Health Peer Support Service Peer support is defined as the help and support that people with lived experience of poor mental health and wellbeing can provide for others struggling with mental health and wellbeing challenges. This support is built on shared personal experience and empathy. Peer support can be social, emotional or practical support. The peer worker service will provide timely access to information, advice, guidance, tools and other supports that can be support people to improve their mental health and wellbeing. We will offer a maximum of three one-to-one appointments.

How to refer
All referrals come through the Angus Enhanced Community Support (ECS) Hub. Individuals can self-refer or ask another professional to refer them using the (ECS) Hub referral forms which can be downloaded from the GP website. People can also ask staff in their GP practice to refer them, this can be the GP, practice nurse or reception staff. They will be able to do this through the GP systems.
